AAW Games is running a Kickstarter for Mini-Dungeon Tome II which includes over 120 short adventures and one-shots for 5th Edition. Coming up in the stretch goals is a custom, backer-inspired Mini-Dungeon and we want your input!

My name is Bill Buchalter. I have been a Mini-Dungeon author for AAW Games for over two years now. I wrote my first Mini-Dungeon, The Devil in the Details, back in June of 2020 during the COVID lockdown. For me, writing during that time was very therapeutic. It helped me feel productive at a time when many of us struggled with what was going on in the world. I am humbled my work will now be included in the new Mini-Dungeon Tome II, and excited to share it with you all.
One of my favorite Mini-Dungeons to write was All Along the Watchtower. When I began writing this adventure, I used the name purely as a working title, figuring I would come up with something permanent when I completed the Mini-Dungeon. But as I began writing I couldn’t keep the song out of my head. I found myself crafting encounters borrowing elements from the lyrics of the song. As an avid classic rock fan, I couldn’t help but lean into the theme of the song more and more, until the entire adventure became a tribute to the song. I was very happy to see the stretch goal unlocked to add All Along the Watchtower to the Mini-Dungeon Tome II!
While wandering through the local woods, a group of hunters discovers a watchtower where none existed before. Who built this strange tower in the middle of nowhere, and why? All who enter the tower to investigate never return.
Like all of us, when I’m not writing I enjoy playing tabletop RPGs with a group of friends who have been gaming together for over 15 years. My oldest daughter has been a party of this group for over ten years, since she was 12, and my son recently joined us a few years back as well. Sharing a hobby that has meant so much to me with my kids has been such a blessing.
Aside from Dungeons and Dragons, our group has played numerous other games such as Savage Worlds Deadlands, Pathfinder 1E and 2E, Starfinder, 13th Age, WEG Star Wars, and just recently we wrapped up a 7th Sea campaign. With the explosion of new TTRPGs being developed I cannot wait to see what we play next!
About five years ago I bought my first 3D printer thinking I could make a few models to use when I run tabletop games. Little did I know I had signed up for another hobby (addiction?) entirely. Much to my wife’s dismay I have expanded to multiple printers, churning out thousands of terrain pieces, and my “pile of shame” has grown completely out of control. My players, on the other hand, enjoy my new hobby immensely!
Once again, I would sincerely like to thank you for supporting the Mini-Dungeon Tome II. Being included in this project is such a privilege, and I am excited to share our adventures with you! I hope you enjoy playing them as much as we have enjoyed writing them.

I live in the Pacific Northwest, western Washington state to be exact.
It is usually grey, dreary, and drenched/dripping in rain around here.
Today the sun is out, the birds are chirping, neighbors are out talking, and people are smiling. I want to see more of that in the world, it reminded me why I do what I do.
I want to create books. Books for you to enjoy, that take you to another world, that give you a new experience and a new perspective on life. Have you ever noticed how playing in or running a game can actually help you through tough times? The real world can be falling apart and when we escape into our imaginations, even if just for a few hours, we somehow reconnect with ourselves.
Maybe it is that child-like part of you or the part that yearns to be free of the toils of the day, but some part of you craves that freedom, that expression, and the duality- that form of control, perhaps in one of the only places in life where we can truly feel in control while things around us spin wildly out.
Here's to you. Our backers, for you are more than that. You are our friends. You are the ones who make us able to live our dreams of creating so that we may give you to and allow you to carry on the tradition of crafting a tale, spinning a story, and in turn allowing yourself and your players to escape into another realm, if even just for an evening.

This morning I couldn't resist any longer. I just had to push the button, the red candy-like button... it was irresistible! And BOOM! The Kickstarter took off, but we can only take things so far on our own. That's where you come in, you are like crazy rocket fuel helping this wild AAW Games ship take off and now that we've left orbit we are formulating our plans to head straight to you!
It is really amazing, a beautiful thing, that a bunch of people all over the world can get together and make something happen like this. I will never ever take you all for granted. You're helping make dreams come true and at the same time crafting this amazing tome.
How We Want to Help You
You have shown us your support, now we want to reciprocate. We've lowered international shipping on our Kickstarters by working with a distributor in France. We have lowered our regular hardcover prices from $59 to $49. We also made a pocket edition for those of you who asked for something easier to haul around in your GM pack to game sessions or to big conventions like Gen Con, or smaller conventions that are just as cool such as Gary Con.
Stretch Goals Add content to the Mini-Dungeon Tome II! Every $2k we unlock a new stretch goal which adds +2 pages to the PDF/hardcovers and +1 map to the book and +3 maps to the digital map pack.
